Dive into the Whimsical World of Alice in Wonderland Cards

Contact: Daniela-Karin Raffl, hello@lykkefund.ch, Zurich, Switzerland

Launching on Wednesday, August 30th is the debut of the new Alice in Wonderland Greeting Card Collection from Zurich-based Illustration Studio, Lykkefund Paper

Embark on a mesmerizing journey into the world of Alice in Wonderland, guided by the hands and imagination of Lykkefund Paper's founder and illustrator, Daniela-Karin Raffl. Inspired by recent travels and a lifelong fascination with Alice's timeless tale, this collection transcends mere greeting cards; it extends an invitation to rekindle the vanishing art of handwritten messages while venturing on a magical journey.
The collection showcases five meticulously crafted cards, each a unique reimagination of the beloved children's classic. From the White Rabbit's Race Against Time to the Golden Key that unlocks the door to Wonderland, each card resonates with the whimsy, wonder, and wisdom of the enchanting realm of Wonderland.
The collection's pièce de résistance, "Alice's Whimsical Tea Party," captures the very essence of Lewis Carroll's famous line, "We are all mad here." This card radiates joy, celebration, and the liberating spirit of embracing one's individuality—a perfect choice for those who dare to dance to their own tune.
These cards are more than paper; they are windows to a world of connection beyond screens, enticing your readers to rekindle the nostalgia of handwritten messages, sparking conversations and forging meaningful bonds.
I am excited to provide you with high-resolution images and further details promptly upon request. I believe this collection is ideal for readers seeking unique, inspiring gifts with captivating narratives. Together, we can embark on an enchanting journey, inviting them to step into Wonderland.
Thank you for your time, and I eagerly anticipate the possibility of collaborating with your esteemed publication to share Alice's wonderful sentiments.
Warm regards,
Daniela-Karin Raffl

Young Swiss greeting card maker wins US Award with hand-illustrated, eco-friendly cards

Contact: Daniela Karin Raffl
hello@lykkefund.ch

Zurich-based illustrator and paper enthusiast Daniela Karin has won the best new designer award at the Noted@*Noted Awards Greeting Card Competition in San Francisco.

*Noted is an annual trade show sponsored by the US Greeting Card Association. This year’s entries came from the US and Europe. Judging was conducted by a panel of industry experts.

This is the second consecutive win for Daniela Karin, a passionate illustrator, who started her sustainable, hand-drawn greeting card brand in 2020, just before the Covid pandemic.

”This award means so much to me,” she says. “I wanted to create something that truly makes people happy. We are now emerging from two years of distancing ourselves from others. Around the world, people are embracing the importance of true connection, love, and friendship. I hope this card will help to unite and deliver happy messages across our world.”

Inspired by a visit to Vietnam pre-pandemic, the image of a masked flower delivery person on a scooter abloom with flowers speaks of our journey from isolation to a healthier, more vibrant world.

"I added a vintage scooter because I love their elegant lines," Daniela adds. "One of the many wonderful things about designing greeting cards is getting to combine different elements from real life to make beauty that is timeless and emotionally relevant."

The full name of Daniela Karin’s award at *Noted is: “Best new card from a rookie/newbie.”

*Noted Judge and industry expert Audrey Woollen of Los Angeles Urbanic Paper Boutique says of Lykkyfund Paper: “They’ve got this gorgeous line of cards but they could also be prints, I would easily put them on my wall.”

Lykkefund Paper cards are available in selected stores in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, the US and online on Lykkefundpaper.com.

Here are some interesting facts about the greeting Card industry (via https://www.greetingcard.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Greeting-Card-Facts-2020-v4-2020-0914.pdf)

Hundreds of new card companies are launched each year, with Millennial “Makers” forming most new card companies.

The number of card lines continues to increase to meet the needs of the selective consumer, as they look for the perfect card that appears to have been produced just for them or their loved ones!

8 out of 10 people agree that greeting cards cannot be replaced by social media. Most people now acknowledge many more birthdays than ever before because of social media, but they aren’t necessarily sending fewer cards as a result. Those relationships that are “card worthy” continue to generate card-sending.

People send and receive cards for a variety of special occasions. But according to research, getting a card “just because” is more meaningful because an unexpected card carries an additional element of surprise and delight.

Greeting cards are available for purchase in more than just stationery and card shops; from the extensive greeting card selections in grocery stores and drug stores, to unique offerings at pet stores, women’s accessory shops, bookstores, catalogs, and online, retailers are evolving to offer greeting cards that meet the needs and tastes of their specific customers.

Please get in touch for any additional high-resolution images and/or cut-outs with transparent background.

Thank you so much.
