Tom Raffield Announces Grand Opening of First London Showroom in Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour.

Alongside its Cornwall-based workshops and showroom, the team have now taken on a space at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, a dynamic, powerful hub of ideas and creativity. Scheduled to open its doors on 3rd June 2024, the new showroom marks a significant milestone for the brand as it expands its presence in the heart of London's design community.

Located in one of London's most esteemed design destinations, the Tom Raffield showroom will showcase the brand's signature collection of handcrafted lighting, furniture and accessories. With a dedicated space on the First Floor, Design Centre East, Tom Raffield aims to connect with its customers, design enthusiasts, architects, and interior designers, offering them a curated experience of its unique designs and high quality craftsmanship.

Visitors can expect to experience the brand's commitment to sustainable craftsmanship and innovative design first-hand, with an immersive display of its iconic pieces. The showroom is open Monday-Friday 9:30am – 5:30pm and will feature a breadth of designs including their bestselling collections - the Skipper, Urchin and Drift lighting designs alongside upholstered furniture pieces and the recently redesigned Crib range of stools and benches.

The Design Centre's famous WOW!house interior event is just around the corner, running from 4th June – 4th July 2024, providing the perfect itinerary for a visit. Tom Raffield’s showroom will be in good company, surrounded by the 19 full-sized rooms and outdoor spaces - each designed by world-class interior designers, working in collaboration with globally recognised design brands.

Since discovering the traditional, age-old technique of steam bending wood whilst studying his degree in 3D Sustainability & Design, Tom has been on an incredible self-taught journey of developing and understanding the process to become one of the world leaders in his craft. Tom’s fascination with the ecological technique allows him to create intricate pieces of art that curve and twist, mimicking organic shapes and celebrating the very thing that inspires him - nature.

Tom Raffield is one of a new generation of designers and makers, using his craft in innovative and contemporary ways. Leading the charge in sustainable design, he is driven to forge a path to excellence and cause as little environmental impact as possible along the way.

His passion and skill are now shared with his talented team of craftspeople, together they create objects that symbolise nature, tell a story and will last a lifetime, all whilst protecting the natural world.

“Each piece we create has been on an experimental journey - individual, organic and carefully considered. We source everything from sustainable woodlands, which, coupled with the low energy steam bending process, is a very ecological practice with little wastage,” explains Tom Raffield, founder.
