Want to give your home a hot makeover in time for winter? New research from eco paint specialists Victory Colours shows this season’s hottest colour is one that radiates warmth and sunshine: terracotta.

Using data from Pinterest, Victory Colours found searches for the term ‘terracotta DIY’ soared as we entered autumn, jumping as much as 10,000% in a single month.

Victoria Yardley, Managing Director of Victory Colours, said: “With its oranagey-red tones, terracotta is a colour that will spread warmth wherever it is used. And because of its natural earthy hues, it’s a colour that is incredibly grounding and will bring a calming influence wherever it is used.

“Pair it with deep greens and brooding blues to create a real feature.”

Victory Colours’ Terrapotta No.67 has a great depth of colour with hints of pink, peach and orange. It is available from victorycolours.co.uk and is priced at £44.95 for 2.5-litres of matt emulsion.
