FEARLESS DESIGN: This collection of new designs captures bold checks, varsity stripes, brave colour block combos and Y2K-inspired tie dye medleys. The range is a sensory explosion of colours: hyper vivid tones of nu orange, bright pink, lido green, sundial yellow, verdigris and bright red come together in unapologetically punchy pairings curated to invoke joy and inspire carefree expression. Each basket bears a small, removable card stitched into its base with the full name of the weaver who made it, bringing honest meaning to what it means to truly create. Produced in three handy sizes (some in two sizes), these baskets make perfect planters and desk tidies, storage for jewellery, toiletries and accessories, craft projects, remote controls and tech, toys and much more.
MODERN HERITAGE: Being handcrafted from natural sisal grass in rural Kenya, these home storage baskets and planters bring together an age-old Kenyan craft with a modern thirst for practical and expressive home accessories. The talented Kenyan craftswomen who produce these woven baskets all learned to weave sisal from a young age, and work within a small craft collective in rural Kenya. Their work in itself is a hugely creative expression, and for a Kenyan woman to forge her own economic path through collaboration and craft is both bold and brave. The bulk of basket production takes place during Kenya’s dry seasons, since most of these weavers are from farming communities who rely on farming – and therefore, steady rainfall - to feed, support and clothe their families. When farming slows down, weaving work steps up.
