The countdown is on for the January Furniture Show which in just over 3 weeks will be opening its doors at the NEC in Birmingham. Furniture and homeware brands from around the world are excited to get back out and meet buyers after a 2 year break due to the pandemic. The show will be full of new product launches, fresh brands, emerging trends and much more. Buyers will be able to explore 4 halls of contemporary furniture, innovative design concepts and homewares to suit all retailer and customer styles. As the only show of its kind in the 2022 calendar, this April’s event is an unmissable opportunity for connection, inspiration and new product sourcing.  

Along with a host of returning brands including; Forte, Silentnight, Gallery Direct, Kelston House; on display you’ll also find a range of new brands eager to meet with buyers. With US brand Kathy Ireland Home making their JFS debut alongside Jual Furnishings, Marinelli, Accudueo Designs and many more. There will be a vast range of furniture and homeware styles and designs on offer that all embody the January Furniture Show’s ethos of delivering innovative design.

At the show buyers will not only be able to meet and connect with new and long-time favourite brands, but they shall also be able to pick up industry tips and insights through the introduction of a brand new seminar programme, Furniture Talks. New for 2022, this seminar stream will feature engaging virtual and in person discussions as well as masterclasses with the industry’s best on a variety of topics from; social media to interior trends to emerging new talent. Interior experts such as Jo Littlefair and Martin Goddard from the luxury design studio Goddard Littlefair and global colour specialist Judith van Vliet are just a few of the top names lined up to help buyers stay ahead in the interior industry.

Live at the show on 24 - 27 April the winners of the Furniture Awards will be announced to the industry. Since the awards started in 2015 in partnership with Furniture News, they have become an essential part of the show and shine a light on the very best in the business. This year’s shortlisted brands have been eagerly awaiting the news as they battle to prove why they are the biggest player in their category, giving the panel of judges a tough time deciding on the winners. The categories this year are; Sustainability, Value, Global Player, Best of British and Design Innovation.

Along with top brands and inspiring talks, January Furniture Show also want to champion new talent, so this year see’s the introduction of a selection of Young Furniture Makers in collaboration with the Furniture Makers Company. This small group of designers have been chosen specifically to show their piece at the exhibition due to their clever design or innovative design process. These rising young stars are ready to start meeting buyers and gain feedback and valuable connections as they begin working towards their future design collections.
