My Billet Doux, “the cushion that brings back the art of the love note” will launch at the new RHS flower show location, Chatsworth, a historic place to showcase a new design concept created by Natalia Willmott with historical antique and vintage ribbons.

My Billet Doux (pronounced bee-yay-doo and literally translated as ‘sweet note’) is a luxurious handcrafted silk cushion embellished with vintage or antique ribbons. A hidden pocket at the back houses a notebook and pen. Write a letter or note to someone and leave it tucked in the cushion to be discovered. Or keep a diary of thoughts, hidden from view. Finishing touches such as tassels or vintage charms or the possibility to have your note hand calligraphed can be added and bought separately.

Throughout time, hand written letters and notes have helped people fall in love, stay connected, build relationships and convey truths. They preserve moments, human history captured forever.
