One breakthrough trend of spring/summer 2014 (as identified at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair) is that of Secret Garden, an update on the ‘bringing the outdoors in’ trend that crops up around this time most years. Homes tend to be furnished with items that work either indoors or outdoors, and the whole vibe is spring fresh and natural looking.

Green spaces are inspiring this season’s colour map. Bright, floral, vibrant colours teamed with fresh shades of green, and preferably combined with white and other neutral colours. Secret garden is a combination of rustic retro and contemporary romantic; second hand is a huge source of inspiration that can be mixed with contemporary furniture for an individualistic look.
